Dorothy Jean (Anderson) Horstman

Dorothy J. Horstman, 76, of Sidney, OH, passed away at 1:41 AM at her residence on Wed. July 9th, 2025. She was born March 17th, 1949, in Union City, IN, the daughter of the late C. Pierce and Grace B. (Dunkelberger) Anderson. She graduated from Union City High School in 1967 and worked as a secretary at Hardy’s in Union City, for 10 years. Then moved to Troy OH, in 1977 and worked as a secretary at Hobart Brothers in Troy, for 10 years.

On June 19th, 1982, she married Thomas J. Horstman. They are members of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles A. Anderson. Dorothy is survived by her husband Thomas, sister Bethena A. Anderson of Troy, OH and daughter Heather J. Strickland, husband Eric, of Kettering, OH and two grandchildren, Vincent and Clarissa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Alex Biryomumeisho officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
