Donald "Peach" E. Davis

DONALD "PEACH" E.  DAVIS, 86, of Maplewood passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at 8:52 PM at Wilson Health. He was born on November 28, 1934 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Olive (Baker) Davis. On June 17, 2008, Donald married the former Shelby Snider-Michael, who survives.

He is survived by three children, Karen (Joe) Centers of Sidney, Sharen Lenhart of Sidney and Twilah (Kelly) Lee of Maplewood; five step-children, Gloria Davidson, Bev (Rick) Baker, Alan (Kelly) Michael, Lori (Tom) Barhorst and Robin (Phil) Hurley; eight  grandchildren, Charlotte Allen, Teresa (Brian) Spiess, Shell (Bill) Barga, Shawn Lane, Heather Foster, Brad (Michelle) Centers, Jessica (Shane) Rickert and Karissa (Tyler) Doseck; two siblings, Wayne Davis of Columbus and Maxine Behr of Newark; twenty-three great- grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Peach was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Davis of 54 years, granddaughter, Ciearra Everett, four brothers and two sisters.

Peach was a lifetime farmer. He also worked for Wagner Manufacturing, owned and operated D.E. Davis Construction and owned numerous rental homes. Peach was a Quincy Alumni class of 1952 and was a past EMT for Perry-Port Salem Township Rescue. He was a part of the Allis-Chalmers tractor club and enjoyed tinkering on antique tractors in his spare time. Peach enjoyed listening to classic country music and calling square dances in which he gave square dancing lessons. He loved spending time with his family especially when it was family game nights. Peach was a member of Quincy United Methodist Church. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday September 27, 2021 at 10 AM at Quincy United Methodist Church with Rev. Kristen Lawson and Rev. Kelly Lee officiating.  Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio. Friends may visit Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S.
