Donald Dale Shoffner

DONALD DALE SHOFFNER, 80, of Sidney, passed away at 9:21 P.M. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Landings of Sidney. He was born on July 12, 1944 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Donald Dale Hoover and Joanie Sage.

On May 29, 1963 he married the former Patricia Louise Bothel, who survives along with two children, Rosemary Shoffner, and Marion (Kellie) Shoffner, both of Sidney; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dale Shoffner; one granddaughter, Summer Lawson; three brothers; and six sisters.

Donald spent most of his career as a semi-truck driver, with the last 32 years at Emerson Transportation. He enjoyed hunting and working on tractors in his garage. A regular at flea markets and auctions, Donald ran a small antique business from home with Patricia, lovingly named “Through the Years Antiques and Collectibles.” Donald was an avid fan of classic Westerns, rarely watching anything but the Western Channel. Above all, he deeply loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them.
