Dian (Williamson) Sekosan

Dian (Williamson) Sekosan, age 74, of Sidney passed with her children by her side at 7:48 pm on August 14, 2025, at The OSU Rhodes Hall-University Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1950, in the mountains of Westbourne, TN to Ulyis G. and Gladys (Smith) Williamson.

Dian was an independent woman who was an active member of her community. As a Soldier of The Salvation Army, she enjoyed volunteering and had a heart for helping those in need. She shared her love of arts and crafts with family and friends as well as through the classes she taught. She took an interest in the fine arts, including theater and classical music while still retaining her down-to-earth love of nature, cooking, sewing, reading, and Bluegrass music. However, what she treasured most were her children and grandchildren with whom she loved to create cherished memories, especially during the holidays.

Surviving Dian are her three daughters, Kellie (Marion) Shoffner of Sidney, Ramona (Thomas) Wright of San Diego, CA, and Cassandra Weaver of Sunbury; seven grandchildren, A.J., Levi, Joseph, Maria, Sophia, Lucianna, and Gianna; two great-grandchildren, Riot and Olin; eight siblings, Dorothy Heatherly, Kathy Gussler, Linda (Mike) Allen, Keith (Joann) Williamson, Sandie Ivey, Terrie Stockton, Michael (Chelly) Williamson, Johnny (Chantel) Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dian was preceded in death by her parents, Ulyis G. and Gladys (Smith) Williamson, and one brother, Ted Williamson.

Services to celebrate Dian’s life will be in the care of the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Miami Ave. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, service immediately following. A private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
