Delores June (Davis) Stewart

DELORES JUNE STEWART, age 81 of Sidney, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:34 PM at Story Point Senior Living in Troy. She was born on March 5, 1939 in Pruden, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John and Hallie (Orick) Davis.

She is survived by four children, Ty Stewart, Vic (Kathy) Stewart, Rick Stewart, and Lisa (Ernie) Powers all of Sidney, one sister, Shelby Nowlin of Sidney, 13 grandchildren, Tyler Stewart, Shaun Smith, Taylor Morrow, Jessica, Justin and Janessa Stewart, April Roland, Devin, Scott and Addison Stewart, Matthew, Stacey and Hayley Powers, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, John Jr., and Billy Davis.

Mrs. Stewart worked for Copeland Corporation, and later retired as a custodian for Sidney City Schools. She was a member of Railroad Street Church of God in Sidney.

Delores loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, as well as shopping with her sister, Shelby. She also loved reading her Bible and worshiping God.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sidney Baptist Church, 1322 E. Court St, Sidney, with Pastor John Butts officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11 AM until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
