Delores M. (Sowders) Broyles

DELORES M. BROYLES, age 80 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 1:50 PM at Ayden Healthcare of Piqua. She was born on December 1, 1942 in Whites Creek, Tennessee, the daughter of the late George and Darlene (Jones) Sowders.

In January of 1960 Delores married Lewis Broyles who survives along with three children: Rose (Jimmy) Castle of Sidney, Mike (Pam) Broyles of Cincinnati, and Debbie (Mark) Roesser of Sidney, five grandchildren: Matthew, Macey, and Ryan Broyles, Amanda (Nick) Davidson, and Chandel Dusenbury, six great-grandchildren: Emma, Adalynn, Camron, Colin, Gavin, and Garrett and four sisters: Sue, Patsy, Charlotte, and Paulette. She was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Griffis, three brothers: Isaac, Jerry, and Lonnie Sowders, and one grandson, Eric Wood.

Delores was a homemaker whose favorite thing to do was quilting, and gifting others with her quilts. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was a long-time member of Sidney Church of God on Wagner Ave.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie King officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
