DELBERT MICHAEL YOHO, age 94 of Sidney, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 5:17 PM at Wilson Health. He was born on August 24, 1926 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Michael and Edna (Gates) Yoho. On December 20, 1948 he married Louise (Stockstill) who preceded him in death May 5, 2014.
Delbert is survived by three daughters, Susan (Tom) Evilsizor of Dayton, Peggy (John) Wiggins of Springboro, and Linda Sappington of Pittsburgh, PA, two siblings, Patricia Montgomery of Parkersburg, WV, and Stanley (Jean) Yoho of Colorado, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Louise Mensch.
Mr. Yoho was a graduate of Parkersburg High School in West Virginia, and attended the University of Cincinnati. He served his country as a pilot in the US Air Force for two terms, one of those terms being in the Korean War. He later worked as an engineer for the former Monarch Machine Co. in Sidney.
Delbert was a member of Sidney First United Methodist Church, Sidney Kiwanis Club, and was recently a volunteer at Wilson Health. He enjoyed traveling, flying, and any type of airplane. Most of all, he loved his family, especially the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be announced. Delbert's final resting place will be at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in Dayton. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
