Decie Ellen Allen

DECIE ELLEN ALLEN, 80, of Sidney, passed away at 11:39 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Wilson Health. She was born on October 27, 1943 in Morgan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Lula (Cantrell) Wright. On February 10, 1963 she married Daniel Thomas Allen, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2013.

Decie is survived by two sons, Robert (Tina) Allen of Sidney, and Michael (Tricia) Allen of Elligay, GA, one daughter, Linda (Jeff) Richmond of Sidney; former daughter-in-law, Lisa Allen; six grandchildren, Jeffery Jr., Ricky, Austin, Hannah, Jenna and Marcus; five great-grandchildren, Bently, Jason, Serenity, Joe, and John Richmond; four siblings, Shirley Wright, Virgie Gambill, both of West Liberty, KY, Buford (Blanche) Wright of New Carlisle, OH, and Clyde Wright of Kernersville, NC. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Raymond Wright, Mabel Young, Doesha Wright, Gay Bolin, Bud Wright, and Katherine Smith.

Decie was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time outdoors both flower and vegetable gardening. She also enjoyed canning and quilting. Decie had a strong faith in God and her family was everything to her. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Earnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Decie’s memory.
