Deborah Geise Obituary

Deborah Diamond Geise, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2024 at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Deb was born to Ernest and Bessie (Van Horn) Diamond on July 26th, 1955 and graduated from Waynesville High School in 1973.

Deb is deeply missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Mark Geise; three children, Mitchell (Sarah) Geise of Delaware, Ohio, Allison (Drew) Luginbill of Mendon, Ohio, and Anne (Luke) DePriest of Plain City, Ohio; six grandchildren, Olivia and Owen Geise, Nolan and Weston Luginbill, and Brooks and Hadleigh DePriest; two siblings, William (Sharon) Diamond and Melody Diamond; brothers-in-law, Tim (Marla) Geise and Steve (Julie) Geise; along with 6 nieces and 5 nephews.

Deb was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Diamond; father, Ernest Diamond; mother-in-law, Verna Geise; and father-in-law, Lester Geise.

Deb was a loyal employee to Emerson-Copeland, working as a project control specialist in the finance department for over 35 years before retiring in January of 2020.

Deb was known for her infectious smile, her kind and compassionate heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Her thoughtful and selfless nature impacted all of the lives that she touched. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. Deb’s love extended beyond humans, encompassing the loyal dog members of her family.

Deb had a love for the outdoors and found great joy in boating on Grand Lake St. Mary’s and exploring the Columbus Zoo with her family. One of her greatest passions was staying fit by walking long distances, running, and taking exercise classes. She even completed a half-marathon at age 59. Beyond these activities, Deb possessed remarkable talents for sewing, baking and decorating, hair styling, and crafting with her Cricut.  Deb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
