David Temple

David Leroy Temple, Age 71, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was born July 11th, 1953, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Daniel Temple and Shirley (Lamley) Temple.

Dave graduated from Lehman High School in 1972.

Dave married Linda (Kerber) Temple on August 28th, 1993 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Tiffany served as Maid of Honor, Travis served as Best Man, Samantha served as flower girl. Linda and Dave were married for 31 years.

Dave worked as a Foreman at the City of Sidney’s Water Department for over three decades while pursuing his passion of becoming an entrepreneur and investing in local real estate. After retiring, Dave became the owner and operator of the Dawg Pound Lounge, enjoying the success of being a small business owner. He later established Timberidge Limousine Service and acquired PJ’s Stop 47, the same bar his father, Daniel, had owned over five decades ago. Dave was proud to bring PJ’s back into his family’s operation and “Bringing it Back Home”.

Dave had many hobbies, including attending baseball games with his friends and family, participating in charity events, spending time with family and friends, driving his Corvette, and operating his businesses. Dave loved taking his kids on yearly family vacations and amusement park outings. Dave served as a coach for a variety of sports for several of his sons and daughters. He sponsored Big Brothers Big Sisters and contributed his time to many charity events. Dave held various positions in the Men’s Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Kerber) Temple; children, Tiffany (Brock), Thomas, Travis (Stacy) Temple, Samantha (Christopher) Kendall, Daniel (Erin) Temple; grandchildren, Sophie Temple; brother, Virgil (Marsha) Temple; sister, Sharon (Doug) Wright; nieces, Shelley (Lee) Wright, Megan (Michael) Hartman, Kimberli Temple, and nephew, Steve (Heather) Wright.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 9th from 5:00 - 7:00PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 10th at 10:30AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Andrew Reckers, Celebrant. Final inurnment will be at Glen Cemetery at a later date.
