David Lenn Powers

DAVID LENN POWERS, age 70 of Sidney, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at 3:28 PM at his home. He was born on February 20, 1955, in Pruden, Tennessee, the son of the late Verlin and Bobbie (Jones) Powers. On October 6, 2000, he married Teresa (Wooten) who preceded him in death June 5, 2011.

He is survived by four children: Mrs. James (Laura) Hicks of Piqua, Mrs. Jimmy (Damara) Brown of Alabama, David (Mandi) Powers of Troy, and Warren (Jamie) Powers of Sidney, step-son, Timothy Brady of North Carolina, five siblings: Verlin, Linda, Ida, Sandy, and Jeff Powers all of Sidney, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Verlin Powers, four brothers: Don, Larry, Darrell, and Warren Powers, and one sister, Emily Powers.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Strunk officiating. Following the service, Military Honors will be presented by the Sidney Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. The family requests that anyone in attendance wear red or gold to honor David’s service in the Marine Corps.
