Darrin Jay Beasecker, age 59, of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of Sidney, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2025, at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio.
He was born on June 29, 1966, in Sidney, the son of Dixie (Leach) Mehta of Richmond, Virginia, and the late Donald E. Beasecker.
In addition to his mother, Darrin is survived by his sister, Holly Hussey, and brother, David Beasecker, both of Sidney; half-brother, Jordan Beasecker of Piqua; three nephews; and stepfather Dilip Mehta. Deep ties to his community have resulted in many long-time friends who will remember him fondly.
A 1984 graduate of Sidney High School, Darrin worked for many years at Sears in Piqua, Books-A-Million in Dayton, and most recently was a partner in The Lamp Shop in Troy.
Darrin will be remembered for his quirky personality, artistic spirit, dedication to his work, boundless determination, and endless creativity. He brought care, humor, insight, and imagination to all who knew him.
In keeping with his wishes, Darrin will be cremated. Family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life at a later date.
