Daniel "Danny" Oliphant Obituary

Daniel Ralph Oliphant, lovingly known as "Danny," passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on March 16, 1972, Danny was the beloved son of the late Donald and Geraldine (White) Oliphant.

A proud Combat Veteran of four wars, Danny dedicated over 20 years of service to the United States Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer Two. During his distinguished career, he served with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), the 101st Airborne Division, the 82nd Airborne, and 1st Armored Division Combat Aviation Brigade. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and his service left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Beyond his military career, Danny was the life of the party—his laughter, energy, and love for music could light up any room. He found joy in hunting, spending time outdoors, and sharing stories with family and friends. He was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he continued to support his fellow servicemen and women.

Danny's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a loving father to Ashley (Josh) Byers, Devan (Kelly) Oliphant, Kaelyn Oliphant, and Jacob Oliphant. He shared a special bond with Jennifer Curtis Oliphant, mother of Jake and Kaelyn, and Malena Partin, mother of Ashley and Devan.  Danny adored his grandchildren—Kamden Byers, Karson Byers, Emma-Grace Oliphant, and Decker Oliphant—who brought endless laughter and happiness into his life. Also surviving are his siblings, Penny (Rick) Stackonis, Pam (Chris) Alexander, Benji Oliphant, James Oliphant; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cherished dog, Moana.

Danny will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
