Cynthia Esta (Covert) Brown

CYNTHIA ESTA BROWN, 61 of Sidney, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at 3:23 AM at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 14, 1965, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marvin and Mary (Davidson) Stafford. On August 15, 1980, she married James Brown who preceded her in death July 16, 2006.

Cynthia is survived by three daughters: Barbara (Scott) Litz of Wasola, MO, Mary Beth (Brian) Reese, and Debra (Corey) Cooper both of Sidney, OH, bonus daughters: Carla Croslow, and Bailey Rogers both of Sidney, OH, four brothers: Michael Covert of Sidney, OH, Tony (Rhonda) Stafford of Bellefontaine, OH, Brian (Tracy) Stafford of Wilmington, OH, and Fred (Theresa) Stafford of Camdenton, MO, 21 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and best friend, Sylvia Atkinson of Independence, KY. She was preceded in death by son, Justin Brown.

Cynthia earned her Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree and worked for many years at Wilson Hospital as a labor and delivery nurse, and later at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, OH. She was a 21-year member of Ava Assembly of God who loved the Lord. She enjoyed baking for weddings and birthdays for her family and friends. She dedicated her life to her family, especially her grandbabies.

A Memorial Service for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Earnie Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Cynthia’s final resting place will be at Parlor Grove Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY.
