Obituary
CRYSTAL JUNE CHASTAIN, 91, of Sidney passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 9:55 PM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on June 2, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hobert and Mary (Brown) Furches. Crystal was preceded in death by her husband William Chastain.
She is survived by two children, Tina (Mark) Lay of Sidney and Willliam (Nancy) Chastain of Dayton; three grandchildren, Jeff Shellhaas, Kelly Maningas and Chris Shellhaas and six great-grandchildren. Crystal was preceded in death by son, Philip Chastain.
Mrs. Chastain worked in Childcare as a Nanny. Crystal was of the Catholic faith.
A Graveside Service will be held September 6,2023 at 10 AM at Dayton National Cemetery 4400 W. Third St Dayton, OH 45428. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Chastain family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
