CONSTANCE (BOHMAN) DUNSON LEWIS, 92 of Sidney, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 1:30 AM at Wilson Health.
Connie was born on July 28, 1932, in Minster, Ohio, to the late Edward and Rose (Clune) Bohman. She was united in marriage to Samuel Dunson on October 4, 1956, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1976. Later, she married Carroll "Red" Lewis on October 23, 1984, who also preceded her in death on February 2, 2005.
Connie is survived by her four children: Jeff (Susan) Dunson of Sidney, Tom (Kay) Dunson of Pickerington, Mike (Jackie) Dunson, and Amy (Scott) West, both of Sidney. She is also survived by stepchildren Dan (Charlie) Lewis, and Molly (Steve) Rice, eight grandchildren: Ben (Lindsay) Dunson, Sam (Katherine) Dunson, Christy (Dave) McCauley, Michael (Lily) Dunson, Alex (Jess) Dunson, Josh, Griffin, and Ryan West, as well as two step-grandchildren, Amanda (Ty) Howard, and Martin (Rosa) Ellenberger, and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are her brother, James Bohman of Centerville, and in-laws Judy Dunson of Cary, NC, and Dan (MaryAnn) Dunson of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her son Andy Dunson, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Ann) and Dan (Kathy) Bohman, and her sister and brother-in-law, Eileen (Tony) Winner. In-Laws Pat and Dave Dunson, Ann (Fremont) Fountain. Two-step children, Mike and Kacy Lewis.
Connie was a dedicated homemaker who cherished her family and took pride in creating a loving home. She was an accomplished cook, artist, bridge player and avid reader. A lover of sports, she enjoyed tennis, golf, bowling, and especially water skiing behind the family boat, The Fertile Turtle.
She was an active member of several community organizations, including the Piqua Country Club Ladies Golf League, Shelby Oaks Ladies Golf League, New Century Club, Newman Club, Charity League, and as a volunteer at Wilson Health. A lifelong member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, and member of the Altar Rosary Society, she sang in the church choir and participated in many weddings over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with Fr. John W. Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or Lehman Catholic High School.
