Clark E. Murray, 74, of Shippenville, PA (formerly of Sidney) passed away peacefully at 10:50 A.M. Saturday, June 28, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born August 29, 1950 in Frakes, Kentucky the son of the late Cillus and Gwendolyn (Barnes) Murray. He married Linda D. Murray who preceded him in death.
Clark is survived by son, Clark Jason Murray of Sidney, and daughter Melina (Ken) Bonner of Cranberry, PA; four grandchildren, Kristina (Jason) Young of New Tazewell, TN, Chelcy (Dustin) Barkley of Covington, Aaron Murray of Tipp City, and Kaitlyn (Noah) Dixon of Brookville, PA; six great-grandchildren, and siblings; Johnny of Sidney, Bob of Celina, David of Westerville, Sheila Menchhofer of Celina, Eleanor Murray of St. Marys, and Sharon Murray of Ottawa. Clark is also survived by stepchildren, Jamie (Connie) Reed, Eric (Lonnie) Reed, Buffy (Bill) Carey, and April Johnston, along with their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Earl, George, and an infant brother; sister, Betty Hudson; step-son, Steven "Scott" Reed; and step-daughter Angie Browning.
Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam. He was retired from Ross Aluminum/RCI in Sidney where he had worked for 40 years. In his younger years he always loved to go fishing and mushroom hunting. He also loved to sing and play his guitar. He sure was the life of the party if karaoke was involved and would literally sing all night long with his best friend, Doug Hewitt. The day before his passing he said he was at the Grand Ole Opry and started singing Hello Darlin' by Conway Twitty.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio. Burial with military honors performed by the U.S. Army will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
