Clair “Boots” M. Geuy, age 99, of Rosewood passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home at 5:20 P.M. He was born on October 17, 1921, in Rosewood, Ohio the son of Jesse M. and Amelia Fern (Powell) Geuy.
He is survived by his loving family, children Mindy Geuy of Bolivia, NC, Julie (Matt) Gilardi of Sidney, and Steve (Deb) Geuy of Rosewood, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley A. (Cox) Geuy and son Jerry M. Geuy.
Boots was a WWII Army Veteran. He owned and operated his own construction company, Geuy Construction. He had his pilot's license and flew his Cessna until his health grounded him. Boots went on to build 5 airplanes that allowed other people to fly after he no longer could.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Chilcote officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
