Christie Anne (Besecker) Short

CHRISTIE ANNE SHORT, age 82 of Oran, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 12:25 AM at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on April 20, 1941 in Bradford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Retha (Gray) Besecker. On November 7, 1958 she married Robert "Bob" Allen Short who preceded her in death October 25, 2022.

She is survived by two children, Rhonda Quinter, and Vance Short, eight grandchildren: Brittany, Christian, Logan, Lane, Caitlin, Tori, Jericho, and Trace, nine great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Jerry Besecker and Scott (Pat) Besecker. She was preceded in death by grandson Joshua, and brother Jack.

Christie was a homemaker and dedicated her time to babysitting for 41 years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 60 years. She enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, playing cards (euchre & crazy 8), Yatzee, camping, vacationing, and a monthly lunch with classmates. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Fr. John W. Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Oran.
