Charles "Daniel" Bailey Obituary

CHARLES “DANIEL” BAILEY, 47, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Licking County, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Piqua, Ohio. He was born on February 19, 1978, the son of the late Gary and Mary Bailey.

In 2023, Daniel married his wife Christina on the beach, fulfilling a dream they had always shared. Together they had a daughter, Brianna Bailey, his youngest child who survives. Daniel is also survived by four other children, Jacob (Maria) Bailey, Jaylynn Franklin, Jayden Bailey, as well as a stepdaughter, Cadence Malaby, whom he lovingly considered his own. He was blessed with two grandsons. Also surviving are his three sisters, Rocky, Lori, and Jenni.

Daniel deeply loved his family. He cherished time with them and was proud to cheer on his daughters in their pursuits. He had a passion for being on the water—boating, jet skiing, and relaxing outdoors. He also enjoyed riding Harleys with Christina and his biker friends, traveling frequently to Florida or Kentucky, where he especially enjoyed visiting the moonshine distillery and the beach.

Daniel had a lifelong love of cars and trucks. He enjoyed auto body work and had a thrill for racing, a passion that first brought him and Christina together when they met in high school.

At home, he was rarely without his two American bullies. Diesel, his nine-year-old companion, was especially close to him, often described as more like a son and his best friend. Daniel was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
