Charles "Dan" Borland

Charles Daniel “Dan” Borland, age 76, of Washington Court House, OH.,

passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at 7:08 PM at Adena Regional

Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH.

He was born on June 16, 1947, in Sidney, the first born of Charles R. and

Eleanor (Bowers) Borland who preceded him in death.

Dan is survived by his loving family, wife, Linda (Rihm) Borland;

daughters, Jill Price, and Cindy (Matt) Smith; grandchildren Corbin

Smith, Cole Smith, Olivia Price, and Mason Price; two great

grandchildren; and siblings, John (Kathy) Borland, Linda (Hank) Ernst,

and Sue (Larry) Turnmire.

Dan grew up in Pemberton, Ohio, and graduated from the class of 1965

from Fairlawn High School. Dan served his country proudly when he

was drafted in 1967, and fought in the Vietnam War as a member of

the 101 st Airborne Division of the United States Army. He was an avid

angler who loved boating and fishing. He later moved south to a milder

climate to be able to enjoy the lake much more often. In addition to

excelling in sports in school, he enjoyed watching the Browns, OSU, and

the Reds. Dan, in his later years, was a regional manager for AFLAC

insurance in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, he along with his wife

Linda won several awards and trips which he was very proud of. Dan

had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a joke. Most of

all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He

will be missed by all those who love him.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2:00

PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Randy Reed officiating. Full military honors to follow at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM until the time of service. Condolences
