Chad Nolen Sr. Obituary

CHAD E. NOLEN SR., 49, son of the late Earl Nolen and Gladys (Stidham) Nolen, who survives passed away January 5, 2022. Chad was born in New Castle, IN and grew up in Cambridge City, IN. 

Chad is survived by his wife of 24 years the former Jennifer Mong; three sons, Chad Jr., Calib and Christian Nolen; sister, Sherri (Nolen) Wolford; two nieces, Alexis Wolford and Carla Moore; nephew, Kevin Shepherd; Brother-in-law, Bill Shepherd; two great-nieces, Briana and Tori Moore; father-in-law, Phil Mong; sister-in-law, Lisa-Marie Mong; brother-in-law, David and Brandy (Mong) Linsey; two nephews, Michael Mong and Jesse Kruckeberg; two special daughters, Jessica Hull and Megan Steinke; six special grandchildren, Haiden, Jaxin, Zayden, Zara, Cora and Chance and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by brother, Stephen Earl Nolen, two half-sisters, Brenda Nolen Thompson and Karen Sue Shepherd, maternal grandparents, Elzie and Dorothy Stidham, paternal grandparents, Lucy Nolen and William and Laura Nolen and mother-in-law, Linda (Cochran) Mong.

Chad graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1990 and obtained associate degree from DeVry University Columbus, OH. Chad was a Sidney youth soccer coach, IUTIS softball coach and was involved in the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed watching sports, traveling and being involved in the Special Olympics. Chad loved watching his special grandchildren and was very proud of all his children. He will be missed by all that knew him.

In honoring Chad's wishes, his body will be cremated. The family will hold services at their own discretion. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife Jennifer Nolen and sons in Chads memory. Condolences may be expressed to the Nolen Sr. family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
