CASSANDRA ELIZABETH MCCAGUE, 64, of Springfield, formerly of Sidney, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was born on December 3, 1961 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marvin and Patty (Rich) Magoto.
On December 23, 2003 she married Jeff McCague, who survives along with her two sons, Stephen (Laura) Eck of Solon, OH, and Christopher Eck of Richmond, IN; two grandchildren, Claire and Colin Eck; two brothers, Bryan (Lisa) Magoto, and Marvin Jr. (Beth) Magoto; uncle, Bob (Christine) Rich; aunt, Pat Rutchling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cassandra devoted the majority of her career to serving others as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner until her retirement. She found great joy in refinishing furniture and sharing her work with others. Cassandra also had a love for motorcycle riding, cooking, and was especially known as a gifted baker. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
