Carolyn Vance

Carolyn Vance, 77, passed away on January 31, 2024, at her residence in Sidney, Ohio. She was born on October 21, 1946, in Sidney.

A proud graduate of Houston High School, Class of 1964, Carolyn went on to build a dedicated career that included work at the Sears Distribution Center in Columbus and later at Playtex in Sidney. Her strong work ethic and commitment were evident throughout her professional life.

Carolyn was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and found joy in simple pleasures. She had a fondness for animals and enjoyed playing cards—pastimes that brought her happiness and reflected the warmth she shared with those around her.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Billy Vance; her sister, Regina Kidder; her nephew and his spouse, Keven and Angel Vance; her niece and her spouse, Melissa Vance and Matthew Eleyet; and her great-niece, Kaylee Eleyet. She also leaves behind many cousins who shared in her life.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, William C. Vance; her mother, Dorthy (Chester) Vance; and her sister-in-law, Judy Vance.

A graveside service will be held at Cedar Point Cemetery on October 21, 2025 at 11:30am.
