Carol A. Slagle

CAROL A. SLAGLE, age 74 of Sidney, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 10:40 PM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on February 1, 1949 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Carolyn (Ike) Slagle.

She is survived by two siblings: David E. (Donna) Slagle of Anna, and Jayne (Mike) Knouff of Sidney, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Slagle.

Ms. Slagle was a 1967 graduate of Hardin-Houston High School. She obtained her degree in nursing from St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Throughout her career as a Registered Nurse, she lived and worked in numerous states including Delaware, Washington, Colorado, and Ohio. Later in her career she worked as a Doctor's Office Receptionist. She enjoyed listening to music and was a lover of animals.

A Memorial Service for Carol will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor John Leighty officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Carol's final place of rest will be at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney at a later date.
