Carol Sue Leiss

CAROL SUE LEISS, 82, of Sidney passed away at 2:34 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on August 19, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Willace and Bernadine (Hoelscher) Kah.

Carol is survived by three children, Cindy Leiss of Sidney, Gary (Patti) Leiss of Quincy, and Mark Leiss of Maplewood; five grandchildren, Dustin (Sarah) Leiss, Megan (Mike) Melnyk, Ryan Leiss, Mike Leiss, and Taylor (Cody) Carruthers; eight grandchildren, Beckett and Caden Leiss, Michael and Miles Melnyk, Seth, Natalie and Brennan Leiss, and CJ Carruthers.

Carol was a graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1959. She was an active member of the Senior Center where she enjoyed exercising, playing shuffleboard, and making many lasting friendships. Carol also enjoyed working in her yard, puzzles, and making various crafts. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Carol’s life will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 4 to 6 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
