Carol Grace (Booth) Breinich, 71, of Sidney passed away on Christmas Day, 2021. She was born to the late Matilda "Honey" and Pastor Wilfred Booth on March 13, 1950, in Galion, Ohio, and was married to Philip Breinich on June 9, 1973.
Carol attended Galion Schools where she was involved in the music program and was the editor of her school yearbook. She earned her Bachelor's in Home Economics at THE Ohio State University and a Master's in Education from Mt. St. Joseph University, going on to be a devoted educator for 33 years at Sidney High School.
Carol accepted Jesus Christ by faith as her Savior at First Baptist Church in Galion, which was pastored by her father. Her Baptist faith was central to her life, and she served as a faithful member, organist, and pianist at Grace Baptist Church in Sidney for over 40 years. Carol was a loyal Buckeye, loved music, sewing and needlework and often made gifts for others. She was known for her great sense of humor and a quick wit that her friends and family will certainly miss.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Philip, and their three sons, Matthew (Diana), Nathan, and Benjamin (Amy). Carol loved her grandchildren, Olivia, Benji, Chloe, and Kate. Other surviving relatives include her sister Elaine Booth-Carnegis, sisters-in-law Connie Mantkowski and Carole Breinich, and many nieces and nephews.
