Carol A. Bishop

CAROL A. BISHOP, 71, of Sidney, passed away at 10:44 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Wilson Health. She was born on September 21, 1951 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norman Ward, and Sylvie (Dalton) Elmore, who survives in Sidney.

In July of 1981 she married Clark David Bishop, who survives along with four sons, Brad (Sue) Bishop of Sidney, Craig (Kristen) Bishop of Apache Junction, AZ, Marc (Mary) Bishop of Sidney, and John Bishop of Tipp City; twelve grandchildren, Seth, Autumn, Collin, Keegan, Kennedy, Caris, Michael, Mason, Samantha, Wyatt, Laely, Maya; great-granddaughter, Nadine; five brothers, Tom Ward, Ron (Susan) Elmore, Tim (Janine) Elmore, Chris Elmore, and Phil (Penny) Elmore; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ray Elmore; and sister-in-law, Sue Ward.

Carol was a licensed practical nurse for most of her career. She worked for Wilson Home Health Hospice for more than 15 years. Prior to that she worked for Fair Haven County Home. Carol enjoyed spending time out in her flower bed. Her greatest love was her family. Carol always doted on her children and grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to support them by attending their ball games and various activities.

Carol was a 45+ year member of Northtowne Church of God where a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 12 P.M. with Pastor Carl McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
