Burnard “Roger” Dale Strunk Jr., 48, of Sidney, Passed away at 7:34 P.M. on May 16, 2026, at his residence. Roger fought glioblastoma for the last 14 months. He was born March 24, 1978, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Roger Dale and Josefine (Vargas) Strunk.
On May 22, 2025, Roger married his love of 30 years, Sherry (Cupp), who survives along with four children, Ellen “Catie” (Kenny) Neilson of Sidney, Kayli (Alan) Stengel of Piqua, Matthew (Shannon) Strunk, and Brittany (Damion Phillis) Strunk, both of Sidney; six grandchildren, Madeleine Neilson, Avangeleine Neilson, Oliver Neilson, Kenneth Phillis, Elijah Phillis, and Westen Strunk. Roger is also survived by his three siblings, Maggie Strunk, Jessy Strunk, Marie Strunk, all of Sidney; his aunt, Jessie Standfield; his sister-in-law, Jamie (Kacey) Cupp; his parents-in-law, Elaine (Ronald) Douglas and Kenneth Cupp all of Sidney; numerous nieces and nephews, and special niece, Sherry Douglas.
Roger loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and took pride in creating things with his hands. Above all else, Roger was a devoted family man, a supportive and loving father, and a proud grandfather whose grandchildren meant the world to him. He cherished every moment spent with his family. Roger also dedicated many years of service to Copeland, where he worked as a forklift operator.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 5 P.M. at Solid Rock Church in Sidney. Condolences may be made to the family at (www.cromesfh.com)
