Bruce is survived by his loving wife Vicki (Chrisman) Knasel, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen (John) Batton and Kara (Keith) Wiley, and his four grandchildren that he loved beyond measure, Jessica & Jenna Batton and Kavin & Kale Wiley. Additional family members include two sisters, Linda (Scott) Piper, Darcy (Myron) Verdier, a brother Jerry (David) Knasel, sisters- in-law, Rosie Jackson (Duane Neuenschwander), and Cherryl (William) Styles, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Bruce was a 1967 graduate of Fairlawn High School. He was a left handed pitcher for the Jets and also earned his State FFA Degree. He served in the UNITED STATES ARMY from March 24, 1969 through December 24, 1970. He served the last 18 months in Baumholder, Germany as an Artillery Specialist.

Bruce enjoyed fishing, trapping, boating, water sports, and especially playing tennis on family vacations in Florida. He was very competitive on the tennis court and challenged many with his ability to serve.

His love for farming started at a very young age and only grew stronger in his adult years. He shared his passion with his wife, children, grandchildren and sons-n-law. Bruce's strength and courage was a testament of his faith and love for his family, and life.
