Brenda Lee (Barnes) Gebby

BRENDA LEE GEBBY, age 80 of Sidney, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 9:54 AM at her home. She was born on February 17, 1945, in Lewistown, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry R. and Buryl V. (Morris) Barnes.

On June 23, 1980, she married Ronald E. Gebby who survives along with three daughters: Sharon (Bob) Jennings of Piqua, Joyce (Tony Bensman) Miller of McCartyville, and Mindy (Justin Layman) Stewart of Bellefontaine, three stepsons: Daryl (Jeanne Best) Gebby of Bellefontaine, Donald Gebby of Florida, and David Gebby, one brother, David Barnes of Texas, 13 grandchildren: Kiersten (Eric) Houchin, Griffen Jennings, Sydney (Kyle) Kuhn, Samantha Miller, Grace Jennings, Trey Miracle, Delaney Miracle, Joslyn Gebby, Cortnee (Rusty) Sidle, Lauren, Logan, Chase, and Chance Gebby, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight siblings: Robert Barnes, Roger Barnes, Mary Thompson, Pauline Myers, Faye LeForge, Rose Jolene Murphy, Barbara Jean Barnes, and Joanne Barnes.

Brenda was a 1963 graduate of Indian Lake High School and worked as the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator for nearly 40 years for Kirk NationaLease in Sidney.

Funeral Services for Brenda will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor John Leighty officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
