Betty Jane Davis

BETTY JANE DAVIS, 79, of Sidney, passed away at 2:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Ohio Hospice in Troy. She was born on December 5, 1946, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Ella (Garland) Jones.

She is survived by two children, Darin (Renee) Davis of Sidney, and Denise March of Tipp City, OH; six grandchildren, Christina (Ryan) Battson, Ashley (Derick) White, Jacob (Marilyn) Davis, Katilyn Davis, Landon Davis and Mitchell Davis; five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie White, Gabrielle White, Callie Battson, Chase Battson, and Delaney Davis; six siblings, Imogene “Jean” Andrews, Clinton (Irene) Jones, Alice (Jerry) Alexander, Sherry (Ron) Tackett, all of Sidney and Susan Brown of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis “Cotton” (Linda) Davis, a grandson Brent Davis, one brother, James Jones; and two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Wanda Faye (Marvin) Wooddell.

She worked hard at many jobs supporting her children.  Among them she spent 41 dedicated years at the Copeland Corporation. Following her retirement in 2009, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed shopping, collecting angels, searching for quilts and saving coins for her grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Edmiston officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice (www.OhiosHospice.org) in Betty’s memory.
