Benjamin Berning

BENJAMIN BERNING, age 42 of Anna, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at 5:10 PM at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born on October 28, 1979 in Troy, Ohio, the son of Lester and Karen (Fullenkamp) Berning of Sidney.

On October 27, 2007 Ben married Rebecca (York) who survives along with their four children; Caleb, Jacob, Margaret, and Katherine. He is also survived by four siblings; Sarah (Dev) Shah of Dayton, David (Jacqueline) Berning, Jessica (Jeff) Hileman, and Gabriel Berning all of Cincinnati, and in-laws, Carl and Elizabeth York of Russia.

Ben was a 1998 Lehman High School graduate. He worked many years as a landscaper for Jason Weigandt Landscape Company, and most recently as a cabinet maker for Airstream. He was a talented woodworker who enjoyed helping fellow employees, friends, and family with his skills. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartyville. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 8 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, and at the church on Friday from 9 to 10 AM.
