BEATRICE ANN SLAVEN, age 86 of DeGraff passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at 6:33 PM at Green Hills Center in West Liberty, OH. She was born on April 3, 1935 in Urbana, Ohio and raised by her late adopted parents; William and Margie (Stamm) Gold. On October 10, 1953 she married James Kenneth Slaven who preceded her in death May 30, 2005.
She is survived by four children; Kathy (Don) Walker of Russells Point, Kenneth Leroy (Cindy) Slaven, and Pam Jenkins of DeGraff, and Barbara (Bill) Green of Toccoa, GA, nine grandchildren; Justin (Amanda) Slaven, Dan Slaven, Aaron Slaven, Mike (Reba) Jenkins, Kenny Jenkins, James Jenkins, Matt (Emily) Green, Wildfire Lynn Slaven, and Kaidlyn Hines, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons; James and Mark Slaven, and siblings; Leroy Gold, Joe Gold, Dorothy Kill, Margaret Bugay, Lewis Wyatt Dalton Jr., Mary Schroeder, Jessie Collins, Paul Dalton, and James Dalton.
Mrs. Slaven retired as a seamstress for the former Gem's Sportswear in Russells Point. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God in DeGraff for over 41 years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Price officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.
