Barbara J. Comella

Barbara J. Comella, age 73 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, May 4th 2022 at 2:13 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.  She was born on January 17, 1949 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy Hicks.

On September 19, 1970, Barbara married the late Daniel R. Comella, and celebrated 50 years prior to his passing.  She is survived by two of her children, Tammi (Brian Johnson) of Sidney and son, Kevin (Dawn) of Brunswick, OH; her brothers, Dennis Hicks (Gayle) of Berea, OH and Lee Hicks (Diane) of Parish, FL.; her grandchildren Logan, Caleb, and Nathan (Johnson) and Jessica and Emily (Comella); five nieces and many great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Michelle Comella, and brother David Hicks.

Barbara stayed at home to raise her three children and then joined the work force as a receptionist at a nursing home in Brunswick, OH then later retired from St. John's West Shore as an operator.

Barbara enjoyed crafting and making gifts for family and friends, particularly Christmas ornaments, afghans, and cross stitch.  She most enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with family, playing games, and creating life long memories.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
