Avonell Moore

AVONELL "ABBY" MOORE, age 82 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 7:05 AM at Wilson Health. She was born on May 16, 1938 in Breeden, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Wayne and Ethel (Browning) Ferguson. 

In 1974 she married Jerald Moore who survives along with two daughters, Hessie Wagner of Sidney, and Vanessa (Doug) Winner of Minster, two step-daughters, Bonnie Brown, and Cheryl Bachus, three brothers, James Ferguson, Paul (Beth) Ferguson, and Dallas (KC) Thacker, two sisters, Martha Suh, and Lora Flanigan, three grandchildren, Tabetha Duckro, Erica Martin, and Kyle Trapp, five step-grandchildren, Rich Allen, Tonya Leist, Michelle Jackson, Sarah Ramirey, and Crystal Keith, 12 great-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by 17 siblings, and two grandsons, Jason Goshorn, and Steve Martin.

Abby retired from the Stolle Corporation. She was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua, where she loved to sing and serve God. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until the time of service.
