Audrey M. Fergus

AUDREY M. FERGUS, 94, of Sidney, passed away at 8:08 A.M. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Fair Haven County Home. She was born on April 7, 1928 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Higgins) Laws. On December 24, 1946 she married Forest E. Fergus, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1997.

Audrey is survived by four children, Karen Stockstill of Sidney, Randy (Kathy) Fergus of Hilliard, OH, Danny Fergus of Fort Worth, TX, and Brenda Jones of Minster; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Briar and Haleigh; two sisters, and one brother.

Audrey worked for the former Super X convenience store in Sidney for over 25 years. She then worked for Pharm X in the Sidney Plaza from the time of its grand opening until it closed. Audrey was a member of the Port Jefferson Order of the Eastern Star. She was of the Baptist faith and went to church faithfully most of her life until her health wouldn’t allow her to. Bowling was one of her favorite pastimes and something she did regularly even into her late 80s. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved the holidays and any occasion that brought everyone together, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Earnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery.
