Anthony Lee Richards

ANTHONY LEE RICHARDS, 75, of Fort Loramie passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 5:05 AM at Heritage Center in Minster. He was born on March 13, 1946 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Werling) Richards. On March 22, 1969, Anthony married the former Karen Alderton, who survives.

He is survived by two children, Christopher Richards of Wapakoneta and Tammy Heaton of Russia; five grandchildren; Kirstie (CJ) Page, Briawna (Dustin Kohler) Suthers, Jordan (Taylor) Suthers, Cody (Natasha) Heaton and Zachary Edwards; eight great-grandchildren and six siblings, Kenny (Molly) Richards of Anna, Ronnie (Janet) Richards of Sidney, Randy Richards of Sidney, David Richards of Houston, Patti (Jeff) Davis of Sidney and Pam (Bob) Roesser of Wapakoneta. Anthony was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Starrett and nephew, John Starrett. 

Mr. Richards retired after many years working as a Truck Driver for Clopay Corporation. Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He belonged to the Fort Loramie American Legion Post 355. Anthony enjoyed collecting an assortment of hats and working in his garden or yard. He enjoyed drinking a beer in company with his friends. Anthony had a sweet tooth, he loved his Reese and Mountain Dew. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Anthony was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 13, 2021 at 12 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Deacon Phil Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may visit from 10:30 AM up until the time of the service. The family has requested friends to dress casual in honor of Anthony. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Center in Minster or American Parkinson Disease Association in honor of Anthony's memory.
