Anthony Evans Obituary

ANTHONY LEE "TONY" "BENNY" EVANS, 53, departed this life in Russells Point, surrounded by family on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a long and courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born on April 7, 1967 in Piqua, OH, the son of the late David and Karen (Rhoades) Evans.

Tony is survived by his children, Charlita Rhoads, Jessica Evans, and Logan Evans all of Russells Point; grandchildren, Alleah Rhoads and Jaxton Sloas; sister, Tammy (Paul) Wiseman of Sidney; uncles, Steve Rhoades of Waverly; aunt, Erma Evans of Sidney; the mother of his children, Brandy Rhoads; lifelong friends, Dave Waner, Kenny Kurdock, and Duston Miller; and special friends, Gary and Nicki Trout of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by uncles, Junior and Richard Evans both of Sidney.

Tony Graduated from Piqua High School in 1985 and went on to marry Brandy Rhoads in 1997. They later divorced, realizing it was better to be friends and they raised their children together. Tony was a solid family man and was at every school event he could get to. He never missed a ballgame when he was healthy enough. Tony loved the Ohio State Buckeyes football, Piqua Indians football, and all the sports at Indian Lake Schools, where his children attended. Tony was a natural born athlete playing, football, baseball, golf, bowling, wrestling, and fishing throughout his life. Tony was a hard worker and loyal employee of Polysource for 30 years, serving in various roles and seldom missing work. Tony was above all else a family man dedicated to his kids. His final goals were to take Logan to an Ohio State Football game, and see Jessica graduate, which he did just recently. Tony will be missed by all his family and friends.
