Anna "Ann" Marie Nation

ANNA MARIE “ANN” NATION, 66, of Sidney passed away tragically Friday, March 28, 2025 at Wilson Health as the result of an accident involving a motor vehicle. She was born on May 17, 1958 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary McDermitt. In July of 1981 she married Bobby L. Nation, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2011.

Ann is survived by her two children, Christina (Danny Black) Melchor of Union City, OH, and John Travis (Melanie) Shurts of Sidney, along with many beloved grandchildren. Though family was the center of her world, her warmth and kindness extended far beyond, earning her the affectionate title of "Grandma Ann" to countless others whose lives she touched. Also surviving is her brother, Ed McDermitt of Russells Point, OH. She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Nation, and her sister, Lillie Gibbons.

Ann worked for more than 40 years at Cornerstone Building Brands in Sidney. She had a generous heart and took on the role of mom and grandma to many. She loved shopping, cooking, and crafting, but nothing brought her more joy than being with her family. Whether gathered around the table for a home-cooked meal, making memories on family vacations, or simply enjoying each other's company, she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Funeral Services will be held (NEXT WEEK) Wednesday April 9, 2025 at 10 A.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral, with Randy Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 8th from 4 to 7 P.M. Condolences may be expressed to Ann’s family at, www.cromesfh.com
