ANNA MAY RODGERS, 77, of Kenton, Ohio, formerly of Sidney, passed away at 11: 00 A.M. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Nora (Secoy) Yerkey. On June 30 1963 she married George Rodgers, who preceded her in death.
Anna is survived by four children, Denise (David) Huffman of Sidney, Kurt Rodgers of Fort Loramie, Juanita Barham of Minster, and Georgeanna (Paul) Francis of Kenton; grandchildren, Maria, Tara, Jon, Daniel, Matthew, Taylor, Preston, Joshua, David, Chrissy, Jessica, Brittney, Jacob, Josiah, Hillary, Lauren, and Mason; numerous great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Dolly (George) Neville, Bobbie (Dale) Stephens, and Pam (Rick) Bell. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Earl Yerky; grandson, James; and great-grandson, Rylan.
A lifelong lover of music, Anna was a gifted vocalist from her youth, even having performed at the Grand Ole Opry as a child. Her love of music was passed down to her children, who sang together with her and travelled extensively in their group, The Bride Ministries. Anna enjoyed shopping, garage sales, and reading Amish books. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with each of them as often as she could. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
