Alene (Roberts) Bolin

ALENE BOLIN, age 82 of Sidney, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at 12:35 PM at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1936 in Jonesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Winston and Mary (Williams) Roberts.

On July 6, 1963 in Piqua, OH  Alene married her husband of 55 years, Earl Bolin, who survives along with their two daughters, Deborah (John) Hackett of Covington, and Dana (Scott) Dieringer of Sidney, grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Dieringer of Covington, Lindsey Dieringer of Sidney, Tyler and Nicholas Bolin of Beavercreek, great-grandchild, Baby Boy Dieringer, due in February, siblings, Joetta (William) Didier, Shirley Smith, and Winston (Annie) Roberts all of Piqua, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, DeWayne Bolin, and brothers, Glen and Cecil Roberts.

Alene was a homemaker. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, walking, and taking care of her dog, Lucy.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM.
