Wayne Callahan

WAYNE CALLAHAN, 68, of Houston, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at 11:30 AM in Russia, Ohio, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 17, 1949 in Jellico, Tennessee, the son of the late John F. and Elitha (Lawson) Callahan.

He is survived by three sons, Jesse Callahan of Russia, Bradley Callahan of Houston, and Raymond (Ashley) Callahan of Yorkshire, four grandchildren, Jared, Anthony, Delaney and Colton, and two brothers, Joe Callahan, and Ralph (Donna) Callahan both of Sidney.

Mr. Callahan served his country as a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Rev. Russell Caudill and Dwight Caudill officiating. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney at a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 PM until the hour of service.
