WANETA M. WARD, age 92 of Sidney, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 4:20 AM at Sidney Care Center. She was born on January 6, 1927 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mabel (Frazier) Ferguson. In 1946 she married Bernard J. Ward who preceded her in death on December 5, 1985.

Waneta is survived by one son, Butch (Joan) Ward of Sidney, one brother, Gerald Ferguson of Miamisburg, five grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Ferguson. She was preceded in death by one son, Joe Ward, one brother, and two sisters.

Mrs. Ward earned her degree from Cosmetology School in Lima and was the owner/operator of Waneta's Beauty Shop for 45 years.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney with Rev. Harold McKnight officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave.
