Terry Louis Marrs

TERRY LOUIS MARRS, 79, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1938 in Orange Township, Ohio, the son of the late John and Mildred (Martin) Marrs.   On February 14, 1994, Terry married the former Susan M. Zircher, who passed away on March 27, 2016. Terry and Susan were together for 41 years.

Terry is survived by two step-sons, Matthew J. Zircher, and Kevin P. (Marcella) Zircher, both of Sidney; one granddaughter, Kelsey, of Sidney; two step grandchildren, Jennifer (Casey) Benge, of Eaton, and Marcus Wickman, of Tipp City; three step great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Jr. (Leslie) Rismiller, of Russia, and Christopher (Lisa) Rismiller, of Vandalia; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa (Thomas) Bey, of Sidney, Regina (David) Owen, of Piqua, Barbara (Douglas) Mangen, of Columbus, and Vivian (Robert) DeWall, of Dayton; 13 nieces and nephews and distant relatives Judith Fergus of Lewisburg, Ohio, and Kay Warren of California.

Terry was involved with farming his entire life. He worked with the Fairlawn High School boys' basketball program as a scorer and scoreboard operator for 25 years. Terry was a part of the Shelby County Farm Service Agency board and the Perry Township zoning board for many years.  He belonged to the Antioch Shrine Temple, was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Stoke Lodge # 305 F. & A.M and Moose Lodge #568.  Mr. Marrs enjoyed spending time with his family, watching television, especially sports, and being with friends.  The family wishes to thank Wilson Hospice/Home Health Care for all they have done, along with Dr. Eric Prenger and his staff.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 22, at 3 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with the Rev. Patricia Zimmerman officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1 PM up until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairlawn FFA or to Wilson Health Hospice in Terry's memory.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Marrs family at the website, www.cromesfh.com.
