Sigrid Hilda Margarita (Adin) Schommer Brackney

SIGRID HILDA MARGARITA (ADIN) SCHOMMER BRACKNEY, 100, of Sidney passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:59 PM at the Ohio Living Dorothy Love Retirement Community. She was born on March 5, 1917 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gustav and Amanda (Falt) Adin.
She is survived by four children: Steven (Connie) Schommer, Sharon (Jim) Howell, Janet Archer and Kenny Casstevens) and Jean Schommer, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, two nieces Pat Barger and Joyce Gould and nephew Bud Adin. Sigrid is also survived by her second family Dianna (John) Pellegrin, David Brackney, grandchildren Robert Brackney III, their children and Brian Brackney. Sigrid was preceded in death by two husbands, Dale Schommer and Robert Brackney, one sister, Henrietta, and two brothers Carl and Clifford.
Mrs. Brackney once worked as a Medical Assistant. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Sidney for more than 20 years.
Sigrid has asked to donate her body to the division of Anatomy at the Ohio State University. No services will be held per the family wishes. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Donations may be made to Ohio Living Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
