Ruth Ann (Moore) Ruffner

RUTH ANN RUFFNER, 85 of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on April 27, 1933 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Grace (Renner) Moore.

On November 4, 1967 Ruth Ann married Don Ruffner who survives along with six children, Gayla Walker of Centerville, Rita Kay Gutman of Mason, Bradley Gutman of Sidney, Cheri (William) Sowter of Durham, NC, Cindi (Tim) Ross of New Lebanon, and Donald Ruffner of Piqua, brother, Newell (Lou) Moore of Sidney, twin-brother, Richard (Romayne) Moore of Ottawana, MN, sister, Mary Lou Wildermuth of Sidney, nine grandchildren, Shannon (Matthew) Smith, Andrea (Jon) McGreevey, Jody (Matt) Young, Summer (Jason) Riffell, Dan (Mandy) Gutman, Tyler Gutman, Laura Gutman, Mirabella Gutman, and Matthew Ruffner, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Danny J. Gutman, daughter-in-law, Melody Gutman, and son-in-law, Sam Walker.
Ruth Ann was a classy lady who many people admired for her beauty and taste in fashion. In her younger years she was an avid artist. She was also an excellent salesperson. She owned and operated The House of Wicker and Shaklee Business. She retired from Roberds Furniture in Piqua. She was a member of Greene Street United Methodist Church in Piqua.

Ruth Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with grandson, Dan Gutman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 AM until the hour of service.
