Rusty Shannon Obituary

RUSTY L. SHANNON, 56, of Piqua, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 15, 1962 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Judith (Floss) Shannon.

On August 4, 1997 he married the former Veronica Haney, who survives along with five children, Joshua Shannon of Piqua, Jason Shannon of Lima, Ashley Vanzant of Ada, Corrina Godwin of Springfield, and Jeremiah Shannon of Piqua; twelve grandchildren; and four siblings, Randy Shannon of Piqua, Ricky (Lori) Shannon of Toledo, Robin (Steve) Espich of Springfield, and Risa (Scott) Johnson of Wilmington, NC. He was preceded in death by son, Joey Shannon.

Rusty was a career truck driver. He enjoyed drawing, and time spent outdoors kayaking and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and doting on his grandchildren.

A Gathering to Celebrate Rusty's Life will be held at a later date at the family's discretion. His final resting place will be at McArthur Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
