Roberta Alene (Gibson) King

ROBERTA ALENE KING, age 88 of Sidney, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:05 AM at The Pavilion Rehab and Skilled Care Center. She was born on October 27, 1929 in Eagan, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Audra and Claira (Weaver) Gibson. On August 18, 1944 she married Joe Hayes King who preceded her in death December 7, 1985.

Roberta is survived by five children, Judy (Rick) Morell of Rockledge, FL, Anna Russell of Sidney, Beth (Guy) Bryant of Powdersville, SC, Mandi (Travis) Calloway of Piqua, and Derrick King of Pinegrove, LA, grandchildren, Angel, Pam, Angie, Chester, Melissa, Christine, Carrie, Dawson, Jonah, Bradley, Isaac, Luke, Titus, Chloe and Hunter, great-grandchildren, Michael, Kali, Jessica, Mariah, Brandi, Cory, Demeta, Dory, Chester Jr, Roy, Christian, and Hannah, and great-great-grandchildren, Neveh, Brooklyn and Josh. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary King, four siblings, Quinton Gibson, Eleanor Buhl, Paul and Wallace Gibson, and granddaughter, Cyndi Blevins.

Roberta was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 1PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Pastor Nathan Breinich officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11AM until the hour of service.
