Ralph William McLain

RALPH WILLIAM MCLAIN, 92 of Sidney, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 4:39 PM at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 3, 1925 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late James and Marie (Kirshner) McLain. He was married to the former Francis Dormire who preceded him in death September 21, 1999.

Ralph is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Michael) Boroff of Sidney, two sisters, Phyllis Mceown of Lena, OH, and Imogene Deal of Sidney, and one grandson, Christopher Boroff of Sidney. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Herbie, Wayne, Cecil and Lloyd McLain, and one sister, Bernice Bridges.

Mr. McLain worked as a journeyman machine repairman for Copeland Corporation, retiring in 1999 after 48 years of service. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, where he was very involved with donating and raising money for missions.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 12:00 PM at First Church of the Nazarene, 1899 Wapakoneta Ave, Sidney, with Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. In keeping with Mr. McLain's wishes, his body will be cremated following the funeral service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 AM until the hour of service, at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
